How long have you lived here?
I’ve lived in Horbury for five and half years.
What do you like best about Horbury and Ossett?
It’s my home village - my family and friends are all here and there’s such a
lovely community spirit.
What does your typical day look like?
I’m lucky enough to be a stay at home mum to my two girls, aged 3 and 1. So
I have a different day every day really. I mostly do the morning nursery school
run and lots of walks, crafting, park trips, playing games etc normal family activities. When the girls are in bed I love to knit and get the sewing machine out or do a jigsaw.
Where’s your favourite place to eat?
Ego at the Bulls Heads - I’ve never had a bad meal there and love the two-for-one
cocktails.
Where’s your favourite place to meet friends, and why?
I think the park opposite the High School, especially now there’s the new path
around the top field so there’s longer walks to go on.
Where’s your favourite place to shop and why?
Darling Reads, I’m so happy we have a book shop open again in the village.
Are you a member of, or do you support, any of the local organisations?
I am a member of the Horbury Street and Craft Fayre Committee which we sadly had to cancel this year which would have been my second year in the committee. I play Rugby for Ossett Ladies WRFC and I am also the registrar of the under 13s girl’s
WRFC team which we are hoping to get going next year.
