Ossett Sainsbury's raffle celebrates new charity partner

share

Sainsbury’s South Parade in Ossett has recently formed a new food donation partnership with ‘The Real Junk Food Project’ (charity# 1160107).

They are collecting donations, with a collection bin in store for customers as well as gifting points at tills. This cash is then translated directly into food donations.

The team also donate any stock we have that we are unable to sell to customers for various reasons.

To celebrate this new partnership, and offer something a little fun to our customers with this unusual Christmas on the horizon, we decided to start this raffle.

It is £2 a ticket with the prizes as follows:

  • 1st Prize: Christmas Hamper worth £100
  • 2nd Prize: £35 Sainsburys Gift Card
  • 3rd Prize: Taste the Difference Pink Gin

All proceeds will be turned directly into food donations for The Real Junk Food Project. They’ve already raised over £130 and hope to raise more!

The winner will be drawn on Saturday the 19th of December so the winners can have their prizes in time for Christmas!

The food donation point is going to be up all year round and it is an exciting project for the Sainsbury’s team as it’s a way to give back to our local community.
