Wakefield Council is urging residents visiting the district’s parks to follow social distancing guidelines at all times. Parks have remained open during the current national lockdown to support the opportunity to exercise outdoors but it’s essential to stay two metres from each other.
Cllr Maureen Cummings, Wakefield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Communities and Poverty said people are encouraged to get out and enjoy the district’s parks and stay healthy during the national lockdown, but need to follow the rules to help control the spread of the virus.
